Recently, I had sex with a 2025 Fall CS master’s student. MathWorks EDG OA, I passed the whole process with full marks. Now I am writing this hard-core review, hoping to give some direction and confidence to students who are still anxious about OA.
Background: Time is tight, basic skills are average, and pressure is high
This classmate is a typical "algorithm half-assed + time-pressed" player:
- It’s not CS for undergraduates, but graduate students have only begun to study LeetCode seriously. Currently, the stability rate of medium-level questions is about 50%.
- I only answered less than 200 questions before submitting to MathWorks, and my DP only did classic templates.
- When I got the OA link, there were less than 2 days left before ddl, and it was the first time I saw the original MathWorks question.
His mentality was already broken at the time: I heard that the difficulty of coding in MathWorks EDG has increased significantly in the past two years. Hard level DP is often given, and the time is extremely stuck (3 questions in 60 to 90 minutes). Python is often not allowed to be used, and only C++/Java can be used.
