In the area of chip and graphics computing, theNVIDIA NVIDIA is undoubtedly a giant in the industry. Last week, our team assisted a student to complete the interview with NVIDIA and finally got the Offer. today, I invited this student to share our NVIDIA interview experience with you, and hope it can provide some help for you who are looking for a job.

I. Overview of the interview process
1. Resume submission and screening
Submitted application for Hardware Engineer position through NVIDIA official and recruitment platform, highlighting chip architecture design, digital circuit development project experience. Receive notification from HR after one week and enter into phone pre-screening.
2. Telephone pre-screening (20 - 30 minutes)
HR asks questions around resume details, such as project challenges and solutions, to examine understanding of the position and career plans.
3. Technical interviews (multiple rounds of 45-60 minutes each)
- first round (of match, or election): Fundamentals of digital circuits and computer architecture, principle exposition and circuit design.
- second round (of match, or election): Digging deeper into project experience, low-power design solutions and technical details.
- third round: System design questions such as GPU architecture solutions for AI computing.
- fourth round (of match, or election): Industry cutting-edge technologies, such as Chiplet technology and paper discussions.
4. Behavioral interview (30 minutes)
Share real-life examples of innovation, collaboration, or conflict resolution based on NVIDIA values to assess communication and team integration skills.
5. Final interview (30 minutes)
Communicate with department heads about the strategic value and long-term growth potential of the position and career planning.
II. Analysis of core interview questions
1. Basic knowledge questions
Fundamentals of digital circuits, architecture, signal processing and other specialties, principle exposition, formula derivation, circuit design.
2. Project experience questions
Deep dive into the technical difficulties and innovations in the project and demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems.
3. System design questions
Examine overall architectural design capabilities, such as module partitioning and balancing performance and scalability.
4. Frontier technology questions
Focus on industry trends, discuss the latest technologies (e.g. Chiplet, AI acceleration, etc.), and demonstrate the ability to learn and innovate.
